Exit Evaluation
It is Conner's week to shine. His case coordinator and another individual from Early Steps came to the house today to conduct Conner's exit evaluation since he will be turning three soon. As of his third birthday he will no longer qualify to receive services through Early Steps for his developmental delays and sensory issues. Once he turns three, if FDLRS determines he is in need of services, he will begin school in an ESE pre-k classroom at one of the public elementary schools within our zone. Our case coordinator was amazed and even teary eyed when she spoke to me about the progress she has seen Conner make since last year. She specifically was impressed with how much he has changed over the past 6 months. It will be interesting to compare the results of the assessment from entry back in August 2009 with today's results.
