It is after much thought and consideration that we have decided to switch to a new pediatrician's office. We love the personality of the Dr that we were going to but she is only in the Ft Myers office once a week and the rest of the time she is out in Lehigh. It is just too far to travel for a visit to the doctor. On top of that we never get seen on time. It doesn't matter if you are there for a well visit or sick visit if you are the first appointment, somewhere in the middle or at the end of the day. When you have 3 kids under the age of three it is a lot to ask of them to sit in the waiting room/exam room for 2 hours before the Dr even comes in.
This morning I went to go visit a new practice and was impressed right off the bat because there were two separate waiting rooms. That means that when the kids go in for a well child check they will not have to sit in the same waiting area as the ill children. The Dr that I met with was very pleasant and accepting of our choices and preferences as parents. I hope that the kids will like this new Dr.
