Ride Away SMA

Sunday August 15, 2010:

Today was the 6'th annual Ride Away SMA - Remembering Marshall and Matthew, who passed away from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the #1 genetic killer of infants and children. The ride started at the Sportsmen Club in Webster, MA. They had a gorgeous day for their event and we hope that it was very successful.

Proceeds from this fundraiser are to benefit Marshall's Miles.

Below is a description about the organization.

Marshall's Miles is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to help find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy and provide assistance to its victims and their families. Donations will be used to help fund necessary medical equipment and accessibility options to families who have been denied coverage by their health care insurance.

A portion of our donations will be directed to Families of SMA to help them continue to fund necessary research so a cure can be found for this devastating disease.

We support the efforts of other SMA organizations whenever possible and will work with them in fullfilling requests from families.

We pride ourselves on improving the quality of life for people who are affected by SMA.
